I thought I use this evening to give a brief update. Last weekend Ali and I went to the “Pfingstmarkt” in Ehningen. That’s where this picture was taken. I just love cotton candy. Not that it is a big delicacy or filling your stomach, but it just brings up this nostalgic atmosphere.
Since last Tuesday I started my internship at the local Kindergarten (or as we call it here: Kindi). With to other women I am responsible for a group of 15-25 kids (depending on who is there). I spend a lot of time playing with the kids or doing handcraft and drawings. I even hooked up with the boys for some soccer. All in all I am having a great time, and the kids give me back a lot. It is a great feeling to teach them things or just share time that will become a part of their life journey; today for example I was helping a little boy to ride a tricycle for the first time all by himself. Of course there are also some challenging times, but I get more and more confident in my place there. So that has been the first week only I know. We will see how it is after the 8 weeks that I planned to stay in that Kindergarten. I will also try to still do some more internships in other places.
Other than that I just have to say how blessed I am to be married to my husband. Ali, this goes to you. I never imagined I would be that lucky. Seeing my birthday coming up next week, knowing another year of my life starting, I am so happy that it will be another year of my life together with you!
Ich dachte mir, es wäre mal wieder Zeit für ein kleines Update. Letztes Wochenende waren Ali und ich auf dem Ehninger Pfingstmarkt. Dort ist auch dieses Foto entstanden. Ich liebe Zuckerwatte. Nicht dass es jetzt eine geschmackliche Sensation wäre, es ist mehr die Nostalgie die dahinter steckt. Na wie dem auch sei…
Seit letzten Dienstag arbeite ich hier im Kindergarten in Deufringen als Praktikantin. Zusammen mit zwei anderen Erzieherinnen betreue ich eine Gruppe von 15-25 Kindern. Je nachdem wer da ist. Ich verbringe viel Zeit mit den Kindern zu spielen, zu malen und zu basteln. Selbst auf ein Fussballspiel mit den Jungs hab ich mich eingelassen. Wobei mir deren Regel-Interpretationen bald zu chaotisch wurden ;) Es macht mir aber alles sehr viel Spass. Ich geniesse es den Kids so viel mit auf den Weg geben zu können und sie geben mir auch viel zurück. Heute zum Beispiel habe ich einem kleinen Jungen geholfen zum ersten mal ganz alleine auf dem Dreirad voran zu kommen. Natürlich gibt es auch anstrengende Zeiten. Mal sehen was in den nächsten 8 Wochen noch auf mich zu kommt. Auch würde ich gerne noch die Chance ergreifen und in ein paar anderen Bereichen ein Praktikum machen.
Ansonsten muss ich sagen dass ich einfach total happy bin mit Ali verheiratet zu sein, und es macht mich unglaublich glücklich zu wissen dass wenn nächste Woche ein neues Lebensjahr anbricht, dass es ein weiteres Jahr mit ihm sein wird :)
