New Life, new apartement, new school, new room, new furniture…. new blogdesign!

I felt like it was time for a change. I dunno if I am finally happy yet with the new style, but I will keep on trying out things. Feedback is welcome!

Last Thursday I met with a very good friend, who I got to know during my first year at EUNC. She is from Holland, therefore the occasions to meet one another are pretty rare. But last week she did some traveling throug Europe and was able to meet me in Marburg / Germany. It was a great day, with good ice cream, fast food, pictures taken, stairs climbing, great views and many good talks. Thank you Gemmeke…!!!

Yey.. our wedding pictures are online…

After browsing through about 1000 pictures, we put together a little collection for you to visit online on our website at http://abbasfamily.info. Have fun and leave some comets which is always fun for us to read :)

So far there are not so many news. I went to the Justus-Liebig-University in Giessen, to take the final steps enrolling in the study program for fall. On my wedding day I had already received the letter of acceptance, which was a great wedding gift already. But now I still had to show up there in person, which took me about 2 hours standing in a waiting line.. but oh well.. now I am officially enrolled and a student there in Nutrition Science. The studies for the bachelor program will take me about 3 years, and so far it includes a lot of biology and chemistry. Looks a bit scary for now, but I guess I will make my way.

Probably next week Ali and I will move finally in our apartement. So far we have been staying in another room in the same house, cause there were still quite some renovations to do. So after going to Ikea and buy some nice items, hopefully from next week on, we finally can settle completely. I also put some pictures here in the gallery that we took throughout our time here in the gallery.

A lot has happened during the last few weeks. Finally I can stop to take a deep breath and tell a bit about what has been going on. On July 15, finally, Ali arrived in Germany. After all the trouble and stress with the visa that we have been through, this was such an amazing relief. Even though it was quite an experiment on living all so closely together with my family in our little apartment in Hainburg, it was going to be a great time. On July 21, we then got married at the townhall of Hainburg. It was a nice little ceremony and afterwards we had my family over for a typical German meal which is Potato-Salad and Sausages. After going through some more things to be organized, finally the “Big Day” was there. On August 02, Ali and Sonja Abbas promised each other before God and the people, to love and care for one another in good and bad times, until death parts us. It was a great day could not have been more beautiful, simply just perfect. Our thanks go to everybody who made this day so special for us. Right now we are in Gladenbach, a little town between Marbug and Giessen, in north Hessen / Germany (http://gladenbach.de/). We are trying to settle, getting things organized, Ali is still working for his online company and I will start my Nutrition studies from August on. That’s all the news so far. As soon as we have the official wedding pictures, I will post some news here again.
